It's “peh-tah-mee” —
not “pet-a-me”
“Peta” comes from peta' (ペタッ) — the Japanese onomatopoeia for the soft little sound a sticker makes when you press it down.
And “me” means exactly what it says: you. Because what you're sticking on the board are your own ideals — nobody else's.
Put together, you get Petame — a made-up little word for sticking your dreams where you can see them.
